The event was initiated in 2006 by Publishing Houses of Warsaw University, in subsequent years organizationally supported by the Publishing House of Warsaw University of Technology and Murator EXPO. Since 2013, Academic and Science Book Fair ACADEMIA has been held simultaneously next to the Warsaw Book Fair in a unique location - at the PGE National Stadium.

Academic and Science Book Fair ACADEMIA will be held in Warsaw for the eleventh time, accompanied by the Warsaw Book Fair between 21-24 May 2020. The event is organized by the Publishing Houses of Warsaw University and the Publishing House of Warsaw University of Technology as well as Murator Expo, the executive organizer.

An integral part of the Fair is the competition for the best academic and scientific book ACADEMIA with the Prize of the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology for the best academic publication in the technical field and exact science as well as the Rector of Warsaw University for the best academic publication in the field of social science and humanities. The fair is also accompanied by the Prize of Professor Jerzy Skowronek granted to authors and publishers in the field of history and archiving.

Up to the next edition of this Competition, by April 3, 2020, all Polish publishers may join. The Competition evaluates scientific books, academic textbooks, monographs, publishing series and translations.

For the next solemn meeting of the academic and scientific publishers, combined with the announcement of the results of the ACADEMIA 2020 competition, we invite you on Friday, May 22 - on the Academic and Scientific Book Day at the Warsaw Book Fair and ACADEMIA Fair held simultaneously.
