Romania will be the Honorary Guest of the 10. Warsaw Book Fair!
In the year that marks the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Romanian-Polish diplomatic relations (1919/2019) and the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council, Romania will present the force and diversity of its literature as well as a rich culture during the Warsaw Book Fair.
Romanian authors, such as Varujan Vosganian, laureate of Nagrody Europy Środkowej „Angelus” 2016 for Księga szeptów and Adrian Cioroianu, author of the sensational collection of stories Piękna opowieść o historii Rumunów will meet with Polish readers at the Warsaw Book Fair. Furthermore, numerous debates dedicated i.a. to Eugen Ionescu or translation of Romanian literature will be held. There will also be premieres of books, projection of documentary and feature films, artistic workshops and animated film shows for children and exhibitions.
The stand and the events have been organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, the Embassy of Romania in Warsaw and the Ministry of Culture and National Identity.
